Me in ICU vs. now

Here is a picture of me in ICU. I refused to look at this photo for years, it scared me too much. Now, though, I feel mostly awe when I look at it— because I’m able to literally see just how many miracles had to take place for me to be where I am today. Sometimes it helps to be visually reminded.

There can hope in seemingly hopeless circumstances.

May we be infused with hope in whatever our circumstance is.
