Softening the Tenuous

When our world feels tenuous, it’s great to be reminded that seemingly hopeless circumstances are not necessarily hopeless.

Many of you know my story, but Rob and I made this one*—in 10 seconds! Amazing good can sprout forth and blossom from hopelessness:

Knowing there’s a possibility that good could come might be enough to give us perseverance to keep going. (Yes, very counterintuitive and countercultural— and, that’s exactly what kept me going, and keeps me going today, in May 2026.)

I hope it can for you too!

Warmly,

Robyn

God’s radiance is revealed through my story: I am amazingly alive– and well!! When I remember where I was then and where I am now, the chaos and uncertainty of my present world softens, like light shining through a dark valley. And that is very welcomed.

I took these on a hike that we went on recently.

I notice wetness in my eyes and a smile of gratitude and awe when I think of this story, still.
