You can take care of yourself

Running handsfree and circuit training at the gym. These are two activities that I looooove and that I used to engage in on a regular basis before baby girl arrived. But, now, my go-to self-care activities need to look different, haha– but really… if I’m gonna do them!

Yesterday, I tried a new thing: I walked a popular walking/running loop— with the babe… and an audiobook. I actually had never listened to an audiobook before this trial adventure yesterday. I also had never walked this loop without a friend. And… I loved it. I felt like it was physically, emotionally, and intellectually energizing for me.

What we want, need (and/or are physically able to do) may change from day to day or what season of life we’re in. Whether we’re a mom, or not— taking time to take care of yourself can seem impossible at times. But that doesn’t mean that we can’t try(!) to do it, and end up feeling rejuvenated. I am feeling so energized by this realization. I hope you’re encouraged, inspired, and refreshed by it, too.

What can you do to take care of yourself… today? this week? in this season of life?

Baby Steps.

Sending love and warmth and hope and inspiration.
